| Owens Livingston Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Gerald Rex Rothwell October 29, 1926 - June 26, 2016 Gerald Rex Rothwell, age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Carriage House in Snowflake, Arizona. He was born October 29, 1926 in Thornton, Arkansas to Abner Lee Rothwell and Nettie Hornaday Rothwell. Rex was a Veteran of WWII having served in the United States Navy. He worked at Magma where he retired after 30 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, baseball and gardening. Rex also enjoyed making wind chimes and bird houses. He and Lea were married for more than 68 years. He is survived by his wife: Mamie Lea; 2 children: Gerald Reginald "Reggie" (Cristella) Rothwell and Joy Lynn (Les) Heisler; 6 grandsons: Randy, Roy, Michael, Matthew, Ronnie and Rocky; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Pat (Shirley) Rothwell and Charles May; 2 sisters: Diane (Wes) McBryde and Doris Strickland. His sister Alma Louise Orman passed away just 11 days prior to Rex passing. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Valley View Southern Baptist Church, 1212 W. Main Street in Snowflake, Arizona, officiated by Pastor Bob Seymore. A luncheon at the church will follow the services. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-Heritage Chapel in Snowflake, Arizona. |
