| Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Robert Yellowhair August 08, 1937 - July 25, 2016 Robert Yellowhair Sr. of Snowflake AZ passed away, Monday, July 25, 2016 in Tucson, AZ, after fighting many health conditions. He was born on August 8, 1937 in Na-ah-tee Canyon, AZ to Peter and Phoebe Yellowhair as part of the Zuni Running in to Water Clan born for Cliff Dwellers. His fraternal and maternal Clans are of the Towering House Clan. Robert was a world known person. He was an artist, buckle maker and saddle maker. Robert loved to hunt with his family. He was a past President of the All Indian Rodeo Cowboy Association. He qualified for the I.N.F.R. seven times as a team roper. At an early age he also studied oil painting in Carson City Nevada and has since painted thousands of paintings. He honorably served in the US Army as a Ranger, part of the 101st Air born division. In the late 50’s he met and married the love of his life, Louise Mae Yellowhair. His children soon came along and he has been a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. His family includes his wife, Louise Mae Yellowhair, children Carl (Michelle) Yellowhair, the late Carol Ann Yellowhair, Johnny (Joy) Yellowhair, the late Desbah Lou Yellowhair, the late Tina Louise Taylor and her husband Matt Taylor, also Loren (Sharalee) Yellowhair, Robert Yellowhair Jr. and Uriah Washington. His family also includes 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, the late Danny Yellowhair, the late Lucy Rockwell, Skeet Yellowhair, the late Samuel Yellowhair, Jimmy Yellowhair, Betty Yellowhair, Jerry Yellowhair, Bert Yellowhair, Rose Edsitty, Susie Begay and Judith Yellowhair and a baby sister that died after birth. There will be a public viewing Friday, 29th at 6:00-8:00 PM at Silver Creek Mortuary, 745 Papermill Rd., Taylor, AZ. There will be funeral services on Saturday, July 30that 3:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple View Chapel, Snowflake, AZ. A brief viewing will precede the funeral starting at 2:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery, Taylor, AZ. Arrangements by Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, AZ.
