| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/29/2016 Glenda Antonio, 63, of Canyon Day, peacefully entered eternal rest Thursday, July 21, surrounded by loved ones in Gilbert. She was born July 16, 1953, in Canyon Day to Violet Antonio and the late Waldo Antonio. Glenda was raised in Eagar and attended Eagar Elementary and Round Valley High School, graduating from Alchesay High School in 1972. She attended Lamson Business College in Phoenix. She was employed by the White Mountain Apache Tribe for more than 30 years in various departments. She is survived by her daughter, Sheena Altaha; grandson Trent Altaha; mother Violet Antonio; brother Johnathan Antonio; sisters Bernita (Kanzie Sr.) Clawson, Imogene Edwards, Sharon Antonio, Rita Gordon, Yvette Aday and Holly Dahkoshay; aunt Helena Velasques;and many nephews and nieces and friends. Glenda was preceded in death by father Waldo Antonio and brothers Sassoon Antonio and Simon Antonio. A wake will be held in her honor starting at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, at West Cemetery Road in Whiteriver. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Canyon Day Assembly of God Church with interment at the Canyon Day Cemetery. Silver Creek Mortuary of Pinetop handled arrangements.
