Paul R. Gates Jr. died July 5, 2016, at home in Mammoth. He was born Jan. 3, 1963, in San Manuel.

Paul drove an acid truck, worked for the paper mill in Snowflake, in construction and many other jobs.

He is survived by his mother, Hildegard M. Gates; brother Leslie P. Gates; daughter Kathleen Gates; two grandsons, Devin and David; nieces Leslie Ann, April and Chasity; two great-nieces, Kaylee and Page; and great-nephew Blake.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at the Globe Cemetery.

Vistoso Funeral Home in Oro Valley handled arrangements.
