Glen A. Hansen died unexpectedly Aug. 4, 2016. He was born in Lakeside and was raised in Snowflake. Glen graduated high school in Snowflake in 1996.

Glen was his happiest and most comfortable atop a horse. He rode horses for others, and also owned horses of his own. He loved the rodeo and enjoyed team roping. He won several belt buckles. His prized possession was a horse trailer he won while team roping.

Glen was a hard worker. He was very happy and enjoyed the six years he worked with Stewart Lewis on the ditch line in Snowflake and Taylor.

Glen could do a lot of different things. He was never afraid to try something. He loved welding and was very good at it. He could fix things others thought were unfixable. He was good with special needs people both young and old. He once put on a horseless rodeo for the special needs kids at Snowflake High School. People still remember that today. Within the last year he befriended an older man in the apartments where he lived who was special needs.

Later in life Glen really enjoyed playing golf and would go hit range balls with whoever would go with him. Glen loved his family and really enjoyed his nieces and nephews. He was a kind-hearted man and loved telling silly jokes to all who would listen.

He is survived by his mother Sharon Hansen; aunt Norma Krupowsk; brother Rex Hansen; sisters Nyla Hansen, Tara Jenkins and Tina Uchytil; brothers Dale Hansen, Neel Hansen and Jess Hansen; 17 nieces and nephews; and three great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, David R. Hansen; brother Adam W. Hansen; sister Kera L. Hansen; grandmothers Louise Bound, Lilly Hansen and Velma Hansen; and grandfathers: Dwight Austin and Cliffton Hansen.
