WANDS, Robert N. (Bob)

Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, July 14, 2016 Robert "Bob" Wands, 83, passed away surrounded by the love of family on July 8, 2016, in Phoenix, Ariz. Bob, a veteran of the United States Army stationed in Korea, leaves behind his life partner of 32 years, Arlys Dollerschell, three children, three grandsons -- Weston, Brandon and Justin -- and one great-grandson, Christian. Born outside of Detroit, Mich., on March 2, 1933, Bob married Arlene Good in 1956, and welcomed four children: Gary (deceased), Jerry, Barry and Mary. After serving in the military, Bob worked for Shade Refrigerated freight and retired from Consolidated Freightways. In 2003, he relocated to Camp Verde, Ariz., from Flagstaff. In retirement, Bob spent time with Arlys doing the things he loved: classic cars -- he had his own cherry-red Mustang -- gardening and traveling in their RV.
