| Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, July 21, 2016 James "Jimmy" C. Boyd, born in Pueblo, Colorado, February 20, 1947, passed away after a long fight with kidney failure on June 28, 2016. James served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, stationed in Cam Ranh Bay, 1968-1971. After coming home he married and started a family. James was a long time resident of Cottonwood, doing many things from landscaping to bartending and owning the local vacuum & sewing machine repair shop. James was a member of the VFW Bert Black Post #7400, American Legion Cornville Post #135 and the Verde Valley Moose Lodge #1449, where he had tended bar for many years. He will be missed by all his friends. James is survived by his sister Jane Karas of Colorado and son James C. Boyd Jr. Information provided by survivors. |
