Roy Barkley, 85, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2016. He was born on September 23, 1930 in Bemidji, MN to parents Roy Senior and Orris Barkley. He loved his siblings, Jim, Don, Harland, Betty and Mark and their families very much.

Roy and Eileene met in school. On July 15, 1951 he married his beloved, Eileene Minzghor in Sacramento, CA where he was stationed at the time. He was a committed and loyal man to his family and recently shared his 65th wedding anniversary with his lovely wife at the VA Hospice. They were blessed with three beautiful children, Garry, Linda and Curt. Over the years they welcomed six grandchildren (Breeanna, Dusty, Brian, Cody, Bradley and Mandi) and three great-grandchildren.

After graduating from school, Roy served with the Air Force for 20 years; traveling overseas and all over the country with his family. He retired in January 1968 as a Tech Sergeant. After serving the Air Force, Roy worked in the Motorhome and Automobile industry. He enjoyed wood working and traveling in the RV, camping, fishing and hunting. He particularly had a big love for dogs.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harland and youngest son Curt. He is survived by his wife Eileene; oldest son Garry and daughter Linda; siblings, many grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
