| Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, August 11, 2016 Caroline Chavis Greening, Born 1919 in Winslow AZ to Jose and Josephine Chavis, joined her beloved Husband; Frank Greening and Son; Carl Greening on August 3, 2016. Caroline was a dear and loving friend to many. Her family will remember her as a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother "Gran-Gran". She was a loving, compassionate, strong and independent Icon who was the backbone and matriarch of her family. She is proceeded in death by: Father, Jo; Mother, Josephine; Brother's, Joe and Manuel; Sister, Mary; Son, Carl; and Great Granddaughter; Antoinette. She is survived by: Son; Frank (Jennie) Greening, Daughter's: Dorothy (Frank) Rubio, Gloria Mullen, Barbara Pareja and Carol (Jim) Thorne. Grandchildren: Frankie, Debbie, Valerie, Diane, Steven, Richard, Sheila, Kelly, Michael, John, Nikki, Heath, David and Chad; Eighteen Great Grandchildren and Six Great-Great Grandchildren. As well as many extended and loving family members. Caroline enjoyed good food and socializing, liked going to movies and playing bingo and loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and a warm and compassionate heart that made everyone around her feel loved and welcome. She will be greatly missed by so many. A Visitation with the Rosary was held in Cottonwood, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at the Westcott Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Graveside Services will be held in Phoenix on Monday August 15, 2016 at The National Memorial Veterans Cemetery of Arizona; 23029 N. Cave Creek Road.
