OWENS, Joan Marie

Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, April 29, 2009 Joan Marie Owens, age 81, entered into eternal life April 25, 2009, peacefully with her family by her side. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wis., Joan settled in Phoenix, Ariz. with her husband John and their three sons in 1963. Joan and John retired to Chino Valley, Ariz., in 1997. Joan enjoyed cooking, gardening, travel, golf and a wonderful life together with her family filled with love and good health. A deep devotion to her family and God completed her life. Joan was preceded in death by her father Anton, mother Anne and brother Robert. Surviving Joan are John, her husband of 59 years; her three sons, John, Jay and Jeff; and her six grandchildren, Jessica, John, Jeanna, Beatrice, Isabel and Madeleine. A celebration of Joan's life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at Phoenix First Assembly of God, 13613 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Ariz. Information provided by survivors.
