| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 26, 2016 Lloyd D. Andriesen, 74, of Prescott Valley, peacefully passed away at home with family by his side on July 14, 2016. Lloyd was born in Galesvilles, Wisconsin, to John and Hazel Andriesen on Sept. 10, 1941. During his informative years, Lloyd played basketball for Trempealeau High School. He moved to Prescott in January 1981, where he worked for the John Turner Corporation as a heavy equipment operator until he retired in 2008. Lloyd grew up on a farm in rural Wisconsin where he learned to love the outdoors. He became an avid hunter of large and small game, loved to fish and was an incredible scout. He loved to hunt units 7 and 8, and loved to camp at Yavapai Ranch and the Camp Wood area. His favorites were hunting squirrels and elk in Arizona and wild hogs in Texas. Lloyd honorably served in the US Army from 1964-1966 and was deployed to Vietnam. He also served in the Army Reserves. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents John and Hazel and his brothers Clayton and Dick. He is survived by his companion Dora Dahl; her eight children; sister-in-law Betty Andriesen; nephew Tim Andriesen; and family in Illinois. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the National Parks Foundation. A celebration of life will be held at Yavapai County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse House, 1495 Sheriff’s Posse Trail, Prescott, Arizona, on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. Hampton Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
