| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, July 27, 2016 John Francis Murphy, age 72, of Dewey, Arizona, passed away on July 21, 2016, in Prescott, Arizona. Abcfunerals in charge of arrangements. ------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, September 25, 2016, page 8a/12a Born Jan. 21, 1944, in Nyack, New York. Died July 21, 2016, in Prescott, Arizona. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, John passed away peacefully. He is survived by his wife, Cindy, their two kids, John and Lynn, as well as his grandchildren, Kaeleigh, Hayden, Madison and Christopher. He is also survived by an older brother, Bill Murphy of Colorado, and older sister, Gail Madden of New York. A retired Air Force, Vietnam Veteran, John was proud of his service to his country. He would go on to pursue his lifelong ambition of heavy equipment operator with the Maricopa County Highway Department before health issues forced him into his second retirement.
