| Camp Verde Bugle, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, August 18, 2016 Betty T. Stone, born January 13, 1925, went HOME on August 15, 2016. Betty was born in Ajo, AZ and had 7 brothers and 5 sisters. She attended school in Ajo, Clifton and then attended high school in Morenci where she was "head drum majorette." She had an angelic singing voice and was a master seamstress. She loved making clothes for her girls and a lot of times it was last minute formals. She was amazing. She held many jobs in her lifetime; Ma Bell, and Miz Zips in Flagstaff, Beaver Hollow restaurant in McGuireville, camp host at Roosevelt Lake, and Clint Wells Camp Ground. Her favorite was working for the US Forest Service, which she did for many years. Without doubt, she felt her greatest accomplishment & the one that brought her the greatest joy was....being a mother. She loved bird watching and being surrounded by nature. Betty was an amazing "handy woman" being able to fix almost anything. She is survived by one brother, Bud Dunn of Washington, two daughters, Charlene Day-Rudolph (Bill) and Kari Moulton (Candy) of Clarkdale, 8 grandchildren, Audra and Richard Tasa, Twana Thompson, Gary Allen, Teri Tasa, Britni Allen, Kodi Drake and Sam Moulton. She had 15 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Her nickname was GGMA. She dearly loved her family and her Lord. She will be deeply and lovingly missed. Services at a later date. |
