Regina “Reg” Jones Williams, 62, of Prescott, Arizona passed away on August 14, 2016 after an 18 month battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was born March 20, 1954 in Goshen, Indiana to Jake and Gladys (Cross) Jones. They moved to Sunnyslope, Arizona in 1960 and then settled in Prescott in 1966.

Known for her ease in frequent conversation even with total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of her shyness in her youth. She possessed an entertaining sense of humor (although sometimes inappropriate). Her signature gift of laughter and joking around will never be forgotten. She was definitely the life of the party.

Regina loved and doted on everyone’s pets and livestock as if they were children. To say she spoiled the animals is an understatement. For the past 30 years Regina did what she loved and enjoyed, and that was housesitting and pet-sitting. She had a loyal group of clientele, and many became her lifetime friends.

She is survived by the light of her life: her daughter Amy and son-in-law Ray Castro of Prescott; mother Gladys Jones of Prescott; sisters Sharon (Mitch) Garland of Mesa, Eugina (Dave) Suffriti of Pine and Coralie Jones of Prescott; brothers Devon (Jan) Jones of Minnesota, Dorvin Jones and David (Lana) Jones both of Prescott; her Godson Justin Merritt of Pine; many beloved nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of family and friends.

Preceded in death by her father Jake, brother Duane Jones, niece Shawna McMorris and her loveable granddog Blue, whom she referred to as her “white fluffy angel” as he kept diligent watch over her bedside during the past few weeks. Blue passed away just hours before her.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 17, 2016 at 2pm at the Yavapai County Sheriffs Posse, 1495 Sheriffs Posse Trail, Prescott, Arizona. Memorial contributions can be made C/O Amy Castro at 403 Cabaret Street, Prescott Arizona 86301 or a donation to your favorite animal rescue.

She was an adored mother, family member and friend.
