Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. -------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, August 24, 2016, page 7a Alice Sachiko Sakai, age 95, died on Aug. 7, 2016, in Las Fuentes Resort Village – Assisted Living under the loving care of their staff. Alice was born Jan. 3, 1921, the daughter of Kenichi Sakai and Takeno Ono Sakai in Newcastle, California. During the World War II evacuation, Alice attended Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, graduating in 1945 with her BA in economics. Alice spent her entire career in New York City as a Personal Assistant to multiple corporations. Alice was preceded in death by her dear sister Mary and brother-in-law Mitty Kimura, all of whom retired to Prescott Arizona in 1989. Alice was a kind and gentle soul who gave generously to her family and community. She leaves loving memories for her nieces and nephews who live out of state, and her friends in Prescott.
