Jim Ming, 78, of Chino Valley, Arizona, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016. Jim was born in Paris, Arkansas, on April 4, 1938, to Buford and Flossie Ming.

Jim moved to California in the 1950s where he started his career and found his passion in the heavy construction industry. He lived his life doing what he loved.

In 1961, Jim met and married his wife of 55 years, Loretta Kirkendoll, in Visalia, California.

Jim’s career led him, Loretta and their two small children to many locations throughout California.

In 1973, Jim took a position with M.M. Sundt, which brought his family to Arizona.

Jim loved spending time with his family and his horses.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Flossie Ming; brother, Bob; and two sisters, Silvia and JoAnn.

Jim is survived by his wife, Loretta; sister, Linda Schluterman; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Susie Ming; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Tom Goetz; and four grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Cameron, and Brandon.

Services for Jim will be held at Word of Life Assembly, 590 W Road 1 North, Chino Valley, Arizona, on Aug. 20, 2016, at 3 p.m.
