ANDERSON, (REV.), Richard

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 28, 2016, page 9a Reverend Richard Anderson entered heaven on August 17 at the age of 87. Rich was born in Monte Vista, Colorado on March 2, 1929. He was the second son of Axel and Leila Anderson. He graduated from high school in Monte Vista, attended Hanover college in Indiana, then went to Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Richard met Shirley (Becky) Becker at Hanover and they married June 17, 1952. Richard has served as pastor in Reserve, New Mexico, Stanfield, Prescott, and Sedona, Arizona. He leaves behind his brother Ted and wife Eileen of Topeka, Kansas; his wife Becky; sons Mark and wife Lucia of Mesa, Arizona, Dale and wife Jody of Buhler, Kansas, and Dana and wife Sheri of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren - Justin, Kendra, Nedd and Ethan; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for September 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Prescott Community Church on Willow Creek Road. Information provided by survivors.
