Wilma Johnston, 85, of Bellefonte, died on May 13, 2013, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born June 28, 1927, in Chula Vista, Calif., she was the daughter of Ruby Ethel (Finley) Brown and Albert Keith Brown. On Nov. 30, 1952, in Wickenburg, Ariz., she married William King Johnston, who survives at home.
She is also survived by daughters, Cherie Brown, of San Diego, Calif., and Lisa Davy, of Bellefonte; grandsons, Jamie Brown (Tricia), of Kansas City, Mo., Tracy Brown (Kristi), of Chicago, Ill., and Eric Davy, of Bellefonte; as well as three great grandchildren.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte for over 58 years. She worked for many years in clothing at Dank's in Bellefonte and at the Nittany Mall, and later Hess's, also at the Nittany Mall. She loved her family, spending time with her friends, her church, cooking, raising flowers, bowling, crocheting, and playing bridge. The great impact she had on the lives of those close to her will be remembered forever.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 6-8pm, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte. The funeral service will follow visitation at 8pm, with Rev. Douglas Elder officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 203 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
