| The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, June 21, 1976, page 9, column 1 Alice Stewart Alice E. Stewart, member of a pioneer Arizona cattle family, died at her Phoenix home June 20. She was born July 2, 1890 in Prescott and was a charter member of the Arizona Pioneers Stockmen's Hall of Fame. The family had a cattle ranch east of Mayer. Her husband, Ben, proceeded her in death. She lived in Tempe from --- to 1968 and then they moved to Phoenix where she lived at 6830 N. 2nd Place. Survivors include, Iva D. Ranney, Monmouth, Ill. and Mrs. W. E. Scott, Prescott, two sons, Brad of Camp Verde and John of Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. H. M. Helm, Tempe; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. The service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Carr Mortuary Chapel, 25 East 5th Street, Tempe, with Rev. Russell R. Mueller of First Congregational Church of Tempe officiating. Interment will be at Double Butte Cemetery, Tempe. There will be no visitation. |
