Ronald Gloshay, Sr.

Ronald Gloshay Sr. went to be with the Lord Sept. 9, 2016, at the Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low. He was born Nov. 18, 1942, to Elliott and Fannie Gloshay in Whiteriver.

Ronald lived in Whiteriver all of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, making wood and camping. He loved being with his family.

He was married to Margaret Gloshay for 50 years. He attended church at the North Fork Miracle Church.

He worked at the Fort Apache Timber Company. He put in water pipes for the Whiteriver community. In 1989 he started working for Community Service/Tribal Maintenance and retired in 2008.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Margaret Gloshay; sons Ronald (Lucille) Gloshay Jr., Michael Henry and Johnny Danford Jr.; daughters Ronita (Adrian) Ditzer), Natasha (Felix) Yazzie and Angela (Elliot) George; and five grandchildren, Andrea, Phillip, Denarius, Kolton and Elliana.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Elliott and Fannie Gloshay; brothers Eugene and John Gloshay; sisters Barbara Gloshay, Elvira Gloshay and Andrea Gloshay-Alchesay; son Donnie Danford; granddaughter Loreal Larzelere; and sister-in-law Caroline Donford.

A wake was held Thursday, Sept. 15, at 913 North First Street in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at the North Fork Miracle Church in Whiteriver. Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery.
