| The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/16/2016 Louise Davis Kay, 81, died peacefully Sept. 8, 2016, in her home. She was born Aug. 11, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mason and Eva Davis the third of seven children. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Louise served with Christ-like love and compassion. She has served in numerous positions throughout her life with a cheerful attitude. She and her husband, Leo, served in the Mesa Temple and again in the Snowflake Temple. They served a LDS mission in the Honduras San Pedro Sula Belize mission from 2001-03. They also served a temple mission in the Santiago Chile Temple from January 2006 to July 2007. Louise loved to garden and make her house a home for all who entered. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, playing games and baking delicious bread. She loved to visit and talk with others and especially her family. She loved music, theater, dancing, performing in plays and playing the piano. She was a natural-born teacher full of wisdom and intellect. She could bring beauty to everything she touched. Louise married Leo Ren Kay on Jan. 26, 1957, in the Mesa temple. They had 10 children. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mason Lorenzo, and son Marvin Leo. She is survived by her eternal sweetheart of 59 years, Leo; beloved children Ronald (Heather), Tracey (Angela), Sherril (Tim), Gordon (Michelle), Kelly (Shari), Elizabeth (Brad), Karen (Chad), and Russell (Monica); 41 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters and one brother. A viewing will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple View Chapel, 2885 W. Highway 277, in Snowflake. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the same location with a viewing held prior from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the funeral at the Mike Ramsey Memorial Cemetery.
