Joe Edward Helm, 67, of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away on September 23, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Prescott, Arizona. Joe was born on January 24, 1949 in Cottonwood, Arizona to George E. Helm and Dorothy J. Helm.

Joe was proud of his family and loved them very much. He is survived by his four daughters; two sons; and 13 grandchildren. His brother Volly Helm and wife Karen; two sisters Charlsa Phillips and husband Gus and Patricia Leigh and husband Joe.

Joe was predeceased by his parents George and Dorothy Helm; son Joe H. Helm, Jr.; and a special niece Barbie Phillips.

Joe’s early days were spent at Irving and Child’s Fossil Creek. Grandpa George Helm and Dad, worked at power plants. He attended high school in Camp Verde. Joe moved to Happy Jack Lumber Camp in 1956 and Rimrock in 1962. He was drafted into the Army in 1968 and sent to Vietnam. Joe was married and had seven children. He retired from construction and truck driving. Joe loved fishing, hunting, women and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Prescott V.A. Chapel. Entombment at a later date.
