First Prescottite Dies at Funston -

The death of William King from pneumonia occurred at Camp Funston late last week, his remains now being en route to this city for burial.

The deceased was a young colored man who volunteered for duty, enlisting in Prescott several months ago. He had previously been in the regular army, receiving his discharge which showed a high endorsement.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas King. reside in this city, and a movement is now on foot to give him an appropriate burial, as he is the first soldier from Prescott to pass away.

Note: Thanks go to Terry Stone for the obituary. Mr. King is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
