| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, May 21, 1997, page 5a Enid A Edwards, 78, a Chino Valley resident, died Sunday May 18. 1997, at her sister’s home in Cottonwood. [Arizona] She was born Sept. 30, 1918 in Humboldt to Ivy (Brooks) and Edward Walker. Mrs. Edwards graduated from Prescott High School in 1937. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley. She was very active with the PTA at both Miller Valley and Mata Dexter elementary schools, when her boys attended. She held state PTA offices. She served as president of Mile High Square dancers, with whom she and her husband, Joe, danced for 25 years and were instrumental in keeping the Saturday night dances going. She was also known for calling adance or two. Survivors include her sons, Jack Edwards of Chino Valley, Joseph Edwards of Phoenix, and Bradley Edwards of Prescott; sisters Elsie Murphy of Bullhead city, Margie Sipes of Hillside, and Fay Lloyd of Cottonwood: and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Joseph in 1989. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home on the corner of Cortez and Carleton Street. Services will begin at 2 p.m, following visitation, with Rev, Jerry Kinman, pastor of First Baptist Church in Parker presiding.
