Reaper Calls Well Known Citizen
Antone Valdrini Succumbs to Attack of Pneumonia
Leading Yavapai Miner Is Summoned to His Final Reward
(From Tuesday's Daily)
After an illness of but three days, Antone Valdrini, one of the best
known miners in this section, succumbed last week to pneumonia, and was
buried Saturday afternoon, under the auspices of the Catholic church,
Rev. Father Mandin officiating.
He was 39 years of age, and was born in Polka, Italy. He had been a
resident of this county for more than twelve years, and with his
brothers, Dan and Pete Valdrini, followed mining as a vocation.
The Valdrini brothers have for years been favorably known in all mining
camps in this section, and bear an excellent name for their monesty and
dinustry. (poss. honesty and industry).
The deceased leaves besides the above, two brothers, Bert and Paul, who
reside with their father at the old home, where his wife and four
children are also living.
The deceased visited about ten months ago his family at Polka, to whom
the sympathy of all is extended in their sorrow and heavy loss.
The funeral of Mr. Valdrini was among the largest ever to take place in
this city, showing the esteem and high regard entertained for him, not
only among his Italian acquaintances, but with others as well. He was
an excellent man and highly regarded by all who knew him.
Transcriber's note: Mr. Valdrini is buried in an unmarked grave at the
Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
