| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, Aug. 15, 1932, page 1, column 2 Martin Testori Taken By Death Martin Testori, sixty-five years old, died in Mercy hospital last night as the consequences of injuries to his spine in an accident while working on the upper Banning creek dam just a week before. He was in an unconscious condition for a good part of the week and took a definite turn for the worse a day or so before his death, when physicians believe he had paralysis. Mr. Testori resided in Prescott for many years and at one time was chief of the fire department. He had two sons and two daughters. -------------------------------------- Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, August 16, 1932 Testori Services Set For Friday Local Volunteer Firemen To Have Charge Of Rites; Was Old Resident Martin Testori, 67 years old, died at 9 o'clock Sunday evening, at Mercy hospital. Death was attributed to injuries received a week previous while he was employed at the Banning Creek dam site. He had resided in Prescott for the past 45 years, coming to the city from Italy. He was born in Switzerland. Funeral services tentatively have been set for Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in the city. Burial will be made in the Citizens' cemetery. Testori had been a member of the Prescott Volunteer Fire department for the past 30 years. The local department will have charge of the services. The crepe-hung Viele fire truck will be used to transport the body to the cemetery, it was said last night. He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Emile and Andrew, Marjorie and Mrs. B. B. Case, all of Prescott. Spinal injuries were suffered by Testori in what seemed to be a slight accident while employed on the excavating work at the dam.
