| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, October 4, 2016 Reva May Janson Burris. Our beautiful mother passed peacefully from this life September 29, 2016. She had lived in Cottonwood since mid-1990, and recently resided in Prescott, Az. Reva May Janson was born on May 10, 1928, along with her twin Russell, in Phoenix, AZ. to John and Henrietta Janson. She lived the majority of her early life in Phoenix, with time spent in Provo, UT and Binghampton, AZ. She graduated from Phoenix North High School in 1946 and attended Brigham Young University with a music scholarship. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in France from 1950 to 1952. Upon her return to the states, she met the love of her life, Claude Emerson Burris. They were married in the Mesa LDS Temple on July 25, 1952. Our mother was blessed with many gifts in her long life. She was a gifted vocalist and pianist and spent a major portion of her life sharing her musical gift. She taught voice and piano. She was influential in teaching many children and adults the joys of music. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day- Saints and served in many callings. She always remembered the importance of compassion and service to others. Her five children, Janyne Brimhall (Rodney) Prescott; Debra Welly (Charles) Cottonwood, Az.; Claude (Sandy), Washington; William (Becky), Flagstaff; and John, California, believe that she was the most wonderful mother in the world. She made our lives happy, safe and most of all, we knew without a doubt that we were loved. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Claude, her mother and father, 7 siblings and her precious little grandsons William and Brandon Burris. She leaves her five children, twenty grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren. Services will be held October 8, 2016, LDS Church, 1001 Ruth Street, Prescott, AZ. The viewing is at 10:00 A.M. and the funeral service 11:00 A.M; burial at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott. Her funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at LDS Church at 1001 Ruth Street, Prescott, Arizona, with the viewing beginning at 10:00 A.M. and the funeral service following at 11:00 A.M.
