| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, October 8, 2016 Faye Maxine Cripe, 87 of Cottonwood, entered the Gates of Heaven on October 3, 2016. Born the third of four children, to Henry Hogland and Cleda Hazel (Foley) Fletcher in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 13, 1929. Growing up in the great depression, her father being a utility factory worker, mother a homemaker. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1947. After High School, Faye went to work at Eli-Lilly in Indianapolis where she met George Albert Weathers. They were married in 1951 had two children, Angela Faye and George (Kevin) Weathers. Moving to California in 1956, working at United Merchants, followed by O'Keefe and Meritt where she met and married Ernest Santillian. They had a son, Danny Santillian. Faye raised her three children in Southern California. As a single parent often working three jobs to make ends meet. In 1966 she met and married Gene Howard Cripe. They bought a home on, Manhattan Pl, Wilshire District, Los Angles. Raising her 3 children and Gene's daughter, Sally. Once in Arizona, Faye worked as the church secretary at Calvary Chapel, Cottonwood. She was involved in woman's ministries, Harvest Festival and was the clown that kids loved. She then worked at Yavapai Health Dept. for years and then retired. She traveled a bit. Baptized in the Jordan River in 1980, by Pastor Jack Hayford. Even though she was raised in the church her entire life, she went cruising to Hawaii with her sister, Martha she spent lots of time in Minnesota with Mike and Martha, nieces and nephews. Her children and grandchildren were her passion. Birthdays and Christmas were alive with faith and hope, and FOOD! Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Gene and two older brothers, William and Charles. She is survived by sister Martha Wegener (Mike); two daughters, Sally Tylonan (Mark) of Laguna Nigel, CA. and Angela Figy (Brad) of Cottonwood AZ.; sons George (Kevin) Weathers of Cottonwood and Danny Santillian of Sedona; granddaughters Amber Faye Hope Inlow (Craig) and Brianna Joy Figy; Six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 13th from 5-7 pm at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. Services will be held Friday October 14th at 11:00 am also at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. A graveside service will immediately follow at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale.
