| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, October 2, 2016 Susan Joyce Manderfield, 74, died September 20, 2016 under hospice care at the Mountain View Manor, in Prescott, Arizona. She was a Michigan native and resident of Prescott preceded in death by her significant other, Larry Wachter of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and by her previous long term companion, Bob Crosby of Waycross, Georgia. Susan donated her body for medical research through Science Care in Phoenix. No services are planned. Beloved family surviving her are: brother Nick and his wife Mary Kaye Manderfield of Prescott; brother Don of Chimacom Washington; niece Donna and her husband Rob Skapik of Tempe; niece Michelle and husband Christopher McEntee and great nephew Nicky McEntee of Ventura, California. Susan was a stained glass artist for 35 years. She loved what she did, designing and building art work, believing a beautiful environment was a basic human need and pleasure. Of the several families to which Susan felt she belonged, the S.O.S. or Sisters of Serenity, was a favorite. A small, 12th step group that originated near rural Bouse, Arizona it continues to provide members with ongoing wisdom through spiritual and emotional support. Information provided by survivors. |
