| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, October 23, 2016, page 7a Nancy Ann Edwards Cannon, 83, left this life on October 18, 2016 in Rockwall, Texas. Nancy was born in Rochester, Minnesota. After spending much of her adult life in Scottsdale, Flagstaff, and Prescott Arizona, she recently moved to Texas to be closer to her son, Stephen Lambourne and his wife Kelly. She is survived by her daughter Kate and son in law Ken Mikami, and son Tim and his wife Lupita Lambourne, and their families. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Haskell Dewitt Cannon and son Christopher Lambourne. Nancy has ten grandchildren and two great grandsons. For many years, Nancy was a dedicated quilter; her passion however was reading and books. Her Arizona vanity license plate read “I Luv Books!”. She bequeathed this love of reading to her children. She was a member of several service groups, including P.E.O., University women’s groups, and worked with the Red Cross in Flagstaff. Nancy was awarded two master’s degrees after attending Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University, where Dr. H. Cannon was a professor. Nancy worked as a volunteer archivist at Sharlot Hall Museum, in Prescott, Arizona. She also served as interim director for the Smoki Museum in Prescott, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Her surviving children will miss her wit, her sparkle, her vibrant red lipstick, and the occasional glass of wine. Private services will be held. Information provided by survivors. |
