| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, October 23, 2016, page 7a Frank Xavier Maier was called home to be with his heavenly Father on October 13, 2016. He is joining his beloved mother, Anna, and his father, Frank. Frank was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 14, 1931 to German immigrants, Frank and Anna Maier. Frank loved to be outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played the piano and was a rock-star bowler. He spoke German fluently, Spanish, even some Japanese and Korean. He was an accounting operations manager at Allianz Insurance Co. in Los Angeles. Frank retired in 1990 to return to Milwaukee to care for his parents. While there he met and married the love of his later life, Lois Hasenbein. They led a happy life, traveling and enjoying time with friends. They moved to Prescott in 2003 for the beauty, climate, culture, and friendliness of the area. Frank is survived by his wife, Lois, and children by his first wife, Olita; son John Maier (Yuli), and grandson Jevan, daughter Cindy Maier-Buehler (David), and grandsons Devin and Alec, son Jeffrey Maier (Cathy) and grandsons Tyler and Jack, and son Gregory Maier. The family thanks all of his helpful and supportive neighbors, and all the patient caregivers at HOME CARE ASSISTANCE, ANGELS CARE HOME HEALTH, and the kind, professional Fire Department paramedics of Prescott. Auf Wiedersehen, Dad! Viewing and Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Prescott, AZ on November 1st. Viewing at 1 PM, service at 2 PM followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Information provided by survivors. |
