Clarence “LeRoy” Tope, 88, passed peacefully from this life on October 24, 2016.

Leroy was born on November 11, 1927 in Lilbourn, Missouri. He moved to Prescott with his family in 1939, graduated from Prescott High in 1946, and worked for the US Postal Service until retirement.

Preceded in death by; parents Harold and Sophia; brothers: S Lee, J Calvin, E Allen, and Joseph; sons: Steven, David, and Michael; granddaughter, Andrea Hart.

Survived by: ex-wife, Doris Black; daughter, Regina Hart; granddaughter, Donetra Staggs; brothers: H Eugene, and Robert.

He loved his church, his family, and his friends. In return, he was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed.

Funeral: Saturday, October 29, 10:00 AM, Prescott Church of Christ, 1495 East Rosser St. Reception following service.
