July 25, 1936 – October 20, 2016
Resided in Cottonwood, AZ.

Shirley Paskett, 80 of Cottonwood passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. She was born in Tacoma, Washington. She went to St. Anthony’s Catholic Elementary School and Renton High School.

Shirley met the love of her life Andrew Paskett at a skating Rink in Renton, WA. When Andy was stationed at Fort Lewis, and they married when she was 19. Then moving to Albion, MI for about 8 years, then she and Andy moved to Bremerton, WA sacrificing a lot to send all 4 of their children to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School. She was very active in the Church and volunteering for the school.

Then in 1973 Shirley and Andy moved their family to Cottonwood, AZ where she was a teacher’s aide at Daniel Bright School and she enjoyed spending time with kids and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and John Crowell, and her son, Phillip Paskett.

Shirley is survived by her husband, (Andy) Andrew Paskett of Cottonwood, AZ and her sister, Mary Matychowiak, daughter Julie Dodge (fiancé Ron Jiles) of Cottonwood, Lori Dean (husband Steven) of Cottonwood, Lisa Edwards (husband Rick) of Vancouver, WA. 5 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.

Rosary and Memorial Mass on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church off Bill Gray Road in Cottonwood. A potluck in Cottonwood will follow; please call Julie (928)821-3889 or Melanie (928)821-1820 for more information.
