| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, October 28, 2016, page 5a Joyce (Maillard) Mastropiero, born April 24, 1940 on Staten Island, New York, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday Oct. 25, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by husband John; son Ian; brother Gene and parents Hazel and Floyd Maillard. She is survived by stepsons Frank and James Mastropiero; daughter-in-law, Bonnie; grandchildren Merissa, Michelle, Tarah, John, Zachary, Analeigh, Sean, Rachael; great grandchildren, Jaden, Andre, Darian, Ian, Evan, Giana, Tyler, John, Jameson, Maleah, and Susanne Conover, niece/daughter. Joyce moved to Arizona 26 years ago from Staten Island, New York and retired as a legal secretary. Joyce was a dedicated Christian who attended Chino Valley United Methodist Church where she was an active member of Missions. Joyce was active in the community where she volunteered at the Chino Valley Animal Shelter; Feed the Hungry and the Hungry Kids Project. A celebration of her life will be held at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church, 735 E. Road 1 South, Chino Valley, Arizona, on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Chino Valley Animal Shelter 1950 Voss Drive, Chino Valley AZ 86323 would be appreciated.
