DENSMORE, Joel Henry

Arizona Weekly Citizen, Tucson, Arizona Territory Saturday, October 11, 1884, page 3, column 1 We are pained to chronicle the death of J. H. Densmore, one of our old residents, at his home about noon to-day. On last Sunday he took his shot gun from the house for the purpose of shooting a hawk. The gun missed fire, and while he had it in front of him examining the lock, it was discharged prematurely, the but of the gun striking him in the abdomen. He has since been confined to his bed ever since, at times suffering the most excruciating pain. Mr. Densmore was a well known citizen of our town, having lived here for several years, and had a large family of grown up children. The family have the sympathy of the entire community. Transcriber's note: It is not known where Mr. Densmore is buried. Prescott Miner -
