Mrs. Etta Maxwell To Be Buried Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Densmore Maxwell, 86, who died here Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. A. (Elva) Wright, in Phoenix Saturday, will be held here Wednesday afternoon in the family plot in the Citizens' cemetery.

Mrs. Maxwell was born November 12, 1861, in Denver. She came to Prescott with her parents in a covered wagon 70 years ago. She was married her to James C. Maxwell, a building contractor, in 1871.

He was a partner of George Sines and helped build the St. Michael hotel and the city hall, as well as other business houses. He built the home at 409 South Marina street, in which the family lived for 55 years. Mr. Maxwell died in 1903.

Mrs. Maxwell is survived by two sons: Clarence, of Groom Creek, and Howard, recently of Rapid City, S. Dak., but now of Phoenix, and the daughter, Mrs. Wright, who had been caring for her mother several months. A son, Bert, died in Cottonwood in 1937, and another son, Roy, in Wickenburg, in 1942. There are 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
