| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 <<< Jamie Marie Benitez, 31, passed away at her home in Lake Havasu City, Sept. 2. She was born to James Reyes Jr. and Bonnie Atkinson July 7, 1985 in Duarte, Calif. Jamie and Jonathan were married nearly 10 years. She was a loving and doting wife and mother to their four beautiful children. She was very affectionate and loved with her whole heart. To be loved by Jamie was to be loved unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spending time outdoors and at the beach. She loved dancing to her favorite music and enjoyed live concerts. She was in a nursing program with the goal of being a neonatal nurse. Her passion was working with children. She was an avid reader and was interested in the arts. She was a deep thinker and was passionate about all her interests. Jamie is survived by her husband, Jonathan Benitez; mother, Bonnie D'Uva; sons, Jason and Easton Benitez; daughters, Mikayla and Ashlynn Benitez; brothers, Turner Gilmore and James Reyes; sisters, Kelsy Barley, Nicole Reyes and Samantha Reyes; grandparents, Carole Snyder, Donna Hernandez and James Reyes; best friend and cousin, Stefanie Lewis, as well as many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Jamie is predeceased by her father, James Reyes, Jr and her grandparents, Patricia Atkinson and Josef Prem, as well as, nephew, Christopher. A memorial service will be held for Jamie at Calvary Baptist Church (McCulloch Blvd. location) on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 5:30pm. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
