| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 <<< Cloyed Ray Burris, 73, passed away Sept. 5, in Lake Havasu City. He was born Oct. 5, 1942 in Redlands, Calif. to Raymond and Florence (Smith) Burris. Cloyed married his beloved wife Gail, on March 24, 1962 in Yucaipa, Calif. Together they moved to Lake Havasu City 26 years ago. Cloyed worked for Nelson Meringola at the “Barn” on Lake Havasu Avenue and also worked for Curt Larson who owned Larson Equipment on Holly Ave., not only did he work for him, but they were very close and he meant the world to Cloyed. He enjoyed many good friendships over the years. Cloyed’s passions included building race cars, go-karts and model airplanes and just about anything he could put his hands on. He especially enjoyed watching NASCAR. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by his family and close friends and his two dogs, Katie and Molly. Cloyed is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Gail Burris of Lake Havasu City, daughters Ginger Sanchez and Robin Werner, son Bobby Burris, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ross and Wesley and a sister, Nona. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.lakehavasumortuary.com.
