| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, November 1, 2016 Carey Blickenstaff, 73 of Cornville, AZ was taken home by the Lord on October 27, 2016. Carey was born July 25, 1943 to Harold and Betty Blickenstaff in LaFayette, Indiana. As a child he enjoyed playing baseball, it was his favorite pastime. During high school Carey and his family moved to Arizona, afterward he joined the Navy. Carey pitched for the Navy baseball team during his enlistment and was seen by the scouts which lead to him being drafted as a pitcher to the Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League System. Unfortunately his baseball career was cut short due to an arm injury. He then worked for Montgomery Ward, working his way to becoming a Truck Tire Manager. Afterward he started his own business doing retreading and selling tires he did this for 20 years. After selling his business he did some consulting work into retirement. Carey’s legacy continues on with his loving wife Tana of 37 years, his sons Marty (Renee) and Aaron, 3 grandchildren; Tyler, Trevor and Troy, his brother Richard (Vanetta) and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Frank Lee. A 10 am Visitation with an 11 am Funeral Service will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W.
