Kruegel Jr., 71, of Watertown, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday evening Sept. 28, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Madison. Visitation is Monday, Oct. 3, 3-5 p.m., at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated if they are sent to the Parkinson’s Association. Robert Arthur Kruegel Jr. was born Sept. 6, 1945 in West Allis, the son of Robert and Olga (Lange) Kruegel. He was a graduate of UW- Milwaukee with a BS degree in communications. Bob owned and operated Stone Valley Paint in Palmyra. He was state representative of the National Street Rod Association for 18 years. He was a member of the Watertown American Legion Post #189. He retired in Lake Havasu City in 2001. Bob is survived by his wife Virginia of Watertown, Wis., two children, Christy Kruegel of Goodyear and Chad (Kristen) Kruegel of Lake Havasu City, three step-daughters, Kristin (Jon) Sommer of Novato, Calif., Kate (Peter) Honerman of Hudson and Karrie Vrabel of Minneapolis, five grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dug Kruegel. Arrangements were placed in the care of Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 611 E. Main St., P.O Box 475, Watertown, WI 53094. |
