| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, November 4, 2016 James (Jim) Craig Ball died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at his residence in Prescott, Arizona. Jim was born Dec. 16, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio. He spent many years in Casper, Wyoming before settling in Prescott. Jim worked as a pipefitter for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time on HAM radio. He was a member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, Yavapai Amateur Radio Club, Mingus Mountain Repeater Group, Verde Valley Amateur Radio Association, and the ARES/RACES. He was also an Extra Class Accredited Volunteer Examiner for The American Radio Relay League, Inc. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Donald D Ball; his mother, Dorothy (Shrigley) Ball; and his girlfriend, Roseanne. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen DiBona and her husband Richard Dibona of Lorain, Ohio; nephews, Ross Vandersommen and his wife Amber and children Will and Owen, of Collierville, Tennessee; and Dale Vandersommen and his wife Pam and children Mia and Nathan of Lorain, Ohio. Final arrangements were handled by the Hampton Funeral Home. Services have not been planned at this time. Information provided by survivors. |
