| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 <<< Shirley Joy Anderson, 83, of Lake Havasu City passed on to be with our Lord Oct. 6, 2016 at Havasu Nursing Center. Shirley was a kind and generous lady, loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Edmund, parents William and Kitty Arklie, sister Catherine Erhardt and niece Judy Erhardt. Shirley is survived by her brother Darryl LaPointe and sister-in-law Colleen, four nieces: Vicki Bussey and family, Cheryl Zinszer and family, Janice King and family, and Susan Erhardt and Kelly Atchley, two nephews: Robert and Thomas Erhardt and families, and sister-in- law Georgia Shinner and family. Shirley was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada coming to America in 1958. She was very proud of becoming an American citizen. Shirley worked in the grocery business as a professional meat wrapper for 40-plus years. Shirley was a practicing Catholic and served as president of the Mary Immaculate Parish’s Women’s Guild in San Fernando, Calif. She loved to travel, especially back to Canada to visit loved ones. Her passion was animals; she sponsored and adopted many over the years. A service is in San Fernando, Calif., where she will be united for eternity with her beloved Ed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Western Arizona Humane Society in Shirley‘s name would be her wish. |
