He was born in Rodney, Iowa on January 23, 1934 to Lawrence and Evelyn Woodward. He married his one and only love Patricia Shattuck, on February 2, 1953. The family lived in Jefferson, Iowa for years where Rex managed a lumber yard and was a part time fireman. He moved his family in 1969 to Durango, Colorado, where he managed Federal Lumber. In 1989 he moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ and managed Colorado River Building Materials in Parker for years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat, his 3 daughters, Deborah Woodward, Danielle Woodward and Roxanne Woodward, all of Lake Havasu City. His daughter-in-law Kathleen Witte Woodward of Grand Junction, CO, his brother Robert (Georgia) Woodward of Altoona, IA, sister Rosemary (Les) Meineke of Menomonee Falls, WI and sister Margaret Pelkey of Mequon, WI, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Robert in 2006 and his parents. There will be no services at this time. |
