| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, October 15, 2016 <<< >>> April 6, 1949 - October 5, 2016 <<< Bob Andrews, 67, a resident of Lake Havasu City, passed away peacefully with his sister Pat at his side on Oct. 5, 2016. Bob was born in Minneapolis in 1949 and spent most of his life there until he moved to Lake Havasu City in 2002. He graduated from Washburn High School and also attended the University of Minnesota and USC. He was in the Navy for two years during the Vietnam conflict followed by several years in the Naval Reserve. He worked at Hitchcock Industries and was a manager before retiring. In Minnesota, he loved snowmobiling and owned several high performance Skidoos. He also had a ski boat and spent time cruising the Mississippi, Minnesota and St. Croix rivers with his friends. This love of boating continued when he moved to Lake Havasu City. He was active in the Elks, Eagles and One Summer Night car club. He enjoyed having friends and relatives visit him and liked to show them the casinos, the wild burros in Oatman and give boat rides. He is survived by his two sisters, Judy Waggoner and Pat Flesher, a brother William Andrews and brother-in-law Charles Waggoner, along with several nieces and nephews. A burial service is at Ft. Snelling in Minnesota at 10:45 a.m., Nov. 18 followed by a celebration of Bob’s life at the American Legion in Richfield, Minn. |
