| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Saturday, October 22, 2016 <<< On Oct. 15, 2016 Heaven claimed another angel. Leota “Lee” Capuzzo, 95, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by all the love one could ever ask for. Lee was born Sept. 15, 1921 in Nebraska to mother Sadie Courtwright and father Ernest Whitman. She is survived by her son Tom Morrissey of Wyoming, sister Betty Eppler of Wyoming, brother Jim Whitman of Oregon, and the love of her life, John Fender of Arizona. She was very active in her community and in Lake Havasu City. A member of many organizations and clubs, The Telephone Pioneers, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Western Welcome Committee and Havasu Beading Club, just to name a few. Lee was loved and admired by many. She will truly be missed by all those who knew her. |
