Margaret Ann Alves, 74, passed on to be with our Lord Oct. 13, 2016.
She died peacefully at her home nine days prior to her 75th birthday
and her move back to her native state of California.

Margaret “Margie” Cook was born Oct. 22, 1941 in Los Angeles. She
married Albert Avery Moody and raised their four children there.

Margie was employed by E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company for 25
years. Near retirement, Margie found and married her true love,
Richard “Dick” Alves. Dick and Margie moved from California to
Arizona 24 years ago. Dick passed on Oct. 8, 2014. Dick and Margie
enjoyed traveling with their Good Sam friends and hosted many joyful
adventures on the “Dick & Marge Party Barge.” Affectionately nick-
named “Lucy” and “Maggie” of “Maggie’s Gang,” Margie enjoyed desert
living, being on and near the water and spending time with her
family and friends.

Margie is survived by her children who remain in Southern
California: Karen (husband Brent) Hauck, Sandy (husband Michael)
Storms, Jenna (husband John) Geiger and James (wife Kim) Moody, 12
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Margie is also survived
by her sisters who both reside in Oregon: Kathy (husband Roy) Taylor
and Susie (husband John) Mudrick.

There will be a private ceremony Oct. 30 at the Shoreline Yacht Club
in Long Beach, Calif., following burial at sea.

Donations in lieu of flowers are welcome at CASAoc.org

Arrangements are under the care of Lake Havasu Mortuary and
