| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Thursday, October 20, 2016 <<< Lawrence Archie Sanders, 85, passed away in Lake Havasu City Oct. 10, 2016. Larry was born in Stevensville, Montana to Archie and Christine Sanders on May 11, 1931. Larry served in the U.S. Army. He was a Minnesota Highway Patrol officer for 12 years before a medical retirement moved him to Arizona. He worked in the Phoenix area for many other companies utilizing his carpentry and mechanical skills before retiring to Havasu. He enjoyed fishing, wood carving and traveling. He also was a member of the Lake Havasu Coast Guard Auxiliary. Larry is survived by his children Kurt, James and Joyce. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Bernice and daughter JoAnn. Larry’s funeral service is at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Craig Corbin officiating. Donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
