REID, Alice Mary

The Register-Guard, Eugene, Oregon Wednesday, October 21, 1987, page 11b REID - Alice Juhl Reid of Veneta died October 18, 1987, at the age of 94. She was born to George and Ramona Juhl on January 28, 1893 in Congress, Arizona. She married Jim Brown in 1913, who preceded her in death. She later married Luther Reid in 1923, and had been a resident of Veneta for 40 years. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Veneta. She is survived by her husband Luther, her children: Garth Brown of Wikenburg, Arizona, Edward Brown of Kingman, Arizona, Stanley Brown of Paxson, Alaska, Catherine Robinson of Santa Rosa, California, Rosemary Robinson, of Bolinas, California, and Luther R. Reid, Jr. of Siletz, Oregon, Stephen Reid of Fall Creek, Alice Behrman of Dexter, and John Reid of Homer, Alaska; her sister, June Cattermole of Lancaster, California; 45 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dave Brown. Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, October 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. in St. Catherine Catholic Church, Veneta. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 24th, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Glen Dare celebrant. Concluding services to follow in Lane Memorial Gardens. Lounsbury - Musgrove Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
