Steven Austin Taylor, 62, a pioneer of Lake Havasu City, passed away
Oct. 27, 2016 in the warm and caring company of his beloved wife of
25 years, Cheryl Taylor, his children and family.

Steve was a brave warrior in his battle with cancer and will be
missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Steve was born Nov. 8, 1954 in Hollywood, California to Don and Mary
Taylor. He went to school in Palmdale, Calif. and attended Antelope
Valley College for two years while working as an apprentice
machinist.

Steve moved to Lake Havasu City in 1971 and worked for the McCulloch
Chain Saw Corp. Having become a master machinist, he was soon
recruited by North American Rockwell to work as an Aero-Space
engineer for its top secret robotics program and moved to Denver,
Colo. with his children. He later returned to Havasu and applied his
machining skills to his passion for guns. Steve took over Zeeman’s
Gun Works, spending the next 23 years making, selling and repairing
guns. His passion for guns and people led him to become the Range
Master at the Havasu Sportsman Club for nearly 20 years.

He was also Captain of the Lake Havasu Search and Rescue Team for
several years. A man of strong moral character, Steve’s devotion to
his friends and family will forever be present in the hearts of all
who knew him.

Steve is survived by his mother Mary Taylor, brother Scott Taylor
(Cheri), his wife Cheryl and six children: Jennifer, Chad, Ambur,
Levi, Anitra and Tiffany; also 21 grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Taylor.

A celebration of Steve’s life is Sunday, Nov. 13, at London Bridge
Beach Park, Ramada 6. Please join his family and friends beachside
with BBQ from noon to 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to
denisesdaylhc.org or Denisesdayaz@gmail.com.
