| Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory >>> Lake Havasu City, AZ <<< Peter Daniel Flock, age 78, of Stillwater, Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Born on April 17, 1938 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, he was a positive role model to everyone who knew him. He was the oldest son of nine children, who turned to him for love and support throughout their lives. Peter will be missed most by his loving wife Carolyn. She saw him for the first time when she was 5-years-old and declared he was the man she would one day marry. Meeting years later while he attended La Crosse State (now University of Wisconsin-La Crosse) they rekindled their friendship and were married on May 27, 1961. Thus began a love story filled with laughter, adventure and an expansive family. He was a veteran of the United States Naval Reserves, a member of the Stillwater Country Club and a proud employee of HB Fuller for over 30 years. Throughout his life, Peter was a volunteer and avid supporter of youth sports and Stillwater Pony athletics. He also loved watching Duke basketball, the Minnesota Vikings and Twins and the sports and extracurricular activities of his 17 grandchildren. He will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn (Hedrick); children Mary-Frances Smith (Michael), Trish Flock-Johnson (Tom), Peter James Flock (Sharon), Jane Flock, Georganne Gabrielli (Mark) and Joseph Flock (Jen); siblings Helen Pedretti, Louise Kelsey, Edward Flock, Thomas Flock, Marion Hill, Theresa Walchek; his 17 grandchildren Jessica (Kendell), Lauren, Peter "Alex", Sam, Tayler, Maddy, Matthew, Henry, Quinton, Dominic, Casey, Maria, Hazel, Aiden, Khiera, Addie, Jake; his many friends in Minnesota and in his adopted home, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mary Flock, his sister Mary Alice Dobbs and his brother David Flock. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Youth Advantage (P.O. Box 11 Stillwater, MN 55082), St. Michael's Church or a charity of their choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Church of St. Michael (611 S. Third St., Stillwater, Minnesota). Visitation will be from 3–6 p.m. on Sunday, November 20 at Simonet Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Private family burial at a later date.
